Who we are

I’m Chris Batsford, founder of Batsford Consulting Ltd. I’ve spent over 15 years helping high-growth tech businesses solve complex hiring and people challenges, across executive search, team build-outs, and strategic people advisory.

My background spans three key perspectives: Global executive search, a VP People role at a fast-scaling SaaS company, and time as Head of Platform within a venture capital firm. That blend means I understand the needs of founders, investors, and leadership teams, not just from the outside, but from the inside too.

I’ve led searches across 20+ countries – from the US West Coast to Japan and have worked with scaling SaaS and Ai companies across key verticals including, supply chain, manufacturing, robotics, sustainability, and more. I’ve helped build leadership teams and go-to-market functions from scratch, hiring CROs, CMOs, and full commercial teams across EMEA, APAC, and the US.

I live in London with my wife, two young children, Arlo (4) and Amber (2), and am a lover of sport and travel. I am currently mid-home-renovation, so if you need a face-to-face meeting, I’ll happily escape the building dust and come to you.
